This is the first book in a series that has been around for a little while, but has slipped under the radar here at MRGS.  These books were added to the collection in late 2016.

Set in England in the 1800s, the main character, Sophronia, is sent away to finishing school by her mother in order to try to tame her unruly behaviour. What Sophronia's mother doesn't know is that the finishing school is actually a spy school masquerading as an 'Academy for Young Ladies of Quality'.

With professors of the blood-sucking and howling variety, not to mention friends that are more than ready to get up to a little mischief, much hilarity ensues throughout the book.  Full of witty one-liners, this is a page-turning read.  There are four books in the series, and there are follow-on series as well (available through Auckland Libraries).

These books are recommended if you're in for a light-hearted paranormal read.  The average rating on Goodreads is 3.8, with later books rating in the low 4s.
